If you believe in reincarnation, you can say that for some people it'll take many lifetimes, because one lifetime can't complete all the puzzles. We're just going to have to come back and draft up new problems to solve in each incarnation, and each time we solve a little bit of the problem we get closer to not having to come back and work on it.
I'm not necessarily a believer in that, because I don't think there really is anything beyond the present moment, and when you die it doesn't matter what you thought in that lifetime about soul or lessons and things like that. It's just information being filtered through awareness and all this universe around us.
But who knows, maybe there really is a universe filled with lifeforms out there, and the universe is so vast that even when we can comprehend the bigger math, we still can't comprehend how big it is, how much life is out there, and how it's all connected through one conscious network.
Maybe it is about that. Maybe when you die, you don't die. Maybe the you is just a cosmic entity connecting into bodies of different forms and shapes, having experience, recording it to its cosmic memory drive, sharing it with the collective memory drive, which is the divine, who is learning and creating better and better things with each generation, with each cosmos that it creates. It's possible. You can't say it's not. I don't think there's anything wrong with having a belief in consciousness being an ever changing physical experience that has recollection and memory of the previous experience.
It's mysterious, because the next question is, is there ever an end point, and we can't answer that honestly. You could meditate on that for 25 years if you want and then come up with your best version of what you think is happening in reality, but it'll still be a guess. That's why the great Chinese philosopher said that all that is mysterious like that, the Tao, cannot be explained in words, and those who try to teach it in words are foolish. They don't understand what it means.
I'm on the fence myself. I tend to think there's a big paradox happening here, while we are reincarnated perhaps. But maybe it really doesn't make any difference to think like that. Maybe we should just accept that this is a game board and you get one life on this board to climb through all the missions and try to survive and get points. Points are things like love, food, happiness, and pleasure. Try not to die before your time, or try not to accelerate your time. It's really valuable. It's a precious commodity, and there's no telling what you'll experience from moment to moment, so be brave and courageous and practice radical acceptance.
