Captain’s Log, Stardate October 16, 2026 A.D.

Commanding a vessel through each day’s unexpected turbulence while staying on the course plotted the night before requires discipline. This week aboard the ship, I repaired leaking sinks in engineering, worked with remote technical command to revive downed POS terminals, installed a new handle on one of the airlocks, posted ridiculous propaganda making fun of the health and wellness galaxy, planned a decal installation to conceal a damaged door, created temporary labels for a new product, upgraded the images for four or five items in our digital marketplace, and completed another round of technical repairs to the website.

We are having a fantastic week. I appreciate every completed mission, but I also love the loose ends. They remind me that the voyage is still underway and there is always another system to improve.

During a supply run to the Home Depot outpost, I also found time to do some Twelve-Step work. It is a long story and not a particularly exciting one, but I helped a man face some of the biggest problems in his life. Sometimes the most important part of the mission happens far away from the command deck.

The store remains a blessing. People dock, visit, and depart throughout the day. I am not entitled to a single one of them. I work for their trust, and they choose to reward the business when we do something great.

I love my creative missions. They reconnect me with the ship, give me time to listen to what the business is trying to tell me, and allow me to invent whatever the Universe transmits next.
