where should your calories come from?

The majority, if not all, of our calories should come from plants in the form of fruits, vegetables, nuts, sprouts, seeds, roots, herbs, spices, fungi, etc. There are more than 20,000 edible plants that contain every nutrient we need. If a nutrient is not available from the plant kingdom, the human body does not need it.

Here, I wrote a song about it:

(Verse 1)
In this world of choices, we seek the truth,
A path to nourishment that's tried and true.
From the roots in the soil to the leaves above,
Nature's bounty holds the key to self-love.

(Chorus)
Plants are our allies, a symphony of green,
From fruits to vegetables, a vibrant cuisine.
Nuts and seeds, a treasure trove so grand,
Sprouts and fungi, nourishing our land.

(Verse 2)
Twenty thousand plants, a kaleidoscope of delight,
Each one offering nutrients, a radiant sight.
Fruits bursting with flavor, vibrant and sweet,
Vegetables abundant, a rainbow to meet.

(Chorus)
Plants are our allies, a symphony of green,
From fruits to vegetables, a vibrant cuisine.
Nuts and seeds, a treasure trove so grand,
Sprouts and fungi, nourishing our land.

(Bridge)
For every need, the plant kingdom provides,
Herbs and spices, healing as it collides.
Roots dug deep, the earth's hidden gold,
Every nutrient present, a story to be told.

(Chorus)
Plants are our allies, a symphony of green,
From fruits to vegetables, a vibrant cuisine.
Nuts and seeds, a treasure trove so grand,
Sprouts and fungi, nourishing our land.

(Verse 3)
We honor nature's wisdom, the cycles of life,
From plant to plate, a journey free from strife.
The human body knows, what it truly craves,
From the plant kingdom, our health it saves.

(Chorus)
Plants are our allies, a symphony of green,
From fruits to vegetables, a vibrant cuisine.
Nuts and seeds, a treasure trove so grand,
Sprouts and fungi, nourishing our land.

(Outro)
Let us embrace this harmony so profound,
With every bite, let wellness resound.
For in the realm of plants, our sustenance lies,
A song of nourishment, a chorus that never dies.
