When we’re in relationships, sometimes we panic. When that happens we may express emotions inappropriately or exhibit unwise behavior in some other way. But we need to be aware that we might be reacting inappropriately because healing is taking place, and the healing might temporarily be uncomfortable or scary.

We might become defensive when we’re panicking. When we’re scared we may feel like caged animals being attached. Our emotions might wreak havoc on us, causing us to blame our partners for things and even hate others at times.

We need to remember that relationships are extensions of our own consciousness. If a conflict occurred, we had a hand in its creation to some degree. But we have the power to put an end to conflicts when we exercise compassion and love in our interactions with our partners and others.
