reading as form of meditation

reading as form of meditation

One form of meditation that can be considered either entry-level or advanced, depending on your perspective, involves staying present while reading every word in an essay or on a page in a book. For this exercise to be effective, you must declare it to be a meditation practice as you do it. It’s beneficial to choose reading material that helps relax your mind, such as positive and informative content. However, the choice of material is subjective, although it’s important to be cautious about reading material that distorts the nature of reality.

Even the most resistant among us are highly susceptible to being influenced, which is why we must exercise extra caution in our healing practices regarding the information we read and consume. Pay attention to the content you allow into your mind and the impact it may have on your well-being. There are appropriate times for entertainment, distraction, and excitement, but there is also a time to cultivate stillness within the mind.
