No matter what you do in life, you're going to hit problems. Even if you're the biggest success in all of the universe, you're gonna hit big successful people's problems - and you're gonna have to solve them.
It's human nature to begin solving problems by fixating on the problem rather than fixating on the solution.
What is the ultimate solution to our problems? A Meditation Practice. The one you know already you have to get to. The practice you have wanted for years is starting.
Meditation practice enables us to control where our thoughts go. This takes time, of course. It's not immediate for most people.
Once we start controlling an unwanted, not useful, anxiety-triggering thought, we can move to the next level and create new thoughts and thinking patterns that create positive outlooks and positive energy so that we feel better about ourselves and the world we live in.
Philosophically speaking there is no flaw in designing the thoughts in our minds. We can control them as we need to. Our feelings do not need control, we allow them to rise and fall as they need to. Our feelings do not need control, but our reactions absolutely do. We need to temper our reactions to triggers that cause us anxiety. We then, in time, are able to direct the mind to more peaceful concepts that are, in fact, compassionate and will to a relaxed state of mind, and then solutions.
Sometimes the solution to a problem is letting it go. Surrender. You can't change it, you can't fix it. Focus on something else. Let go of that unbelievable burden. Let go of that argument. Let go of that attachment. Build character and be fearless about experiencing your feelings. Good or bad. Just don't act on them. Do not react to your feelings. This is the hardest thing for all of us to do. But, controlling our reactions is progress and growth. These are true riches.
