Everyone is in BETA.*
Not because we’re evolving—but because we’re masking sadness, depression, and discontent. But what we call “discontent” is often misdiagnosed.
What we’re actually feeling is wrong chemistry, wrong breath, wrong brainwaves, wrong nervous system signals. We feel off, but we don’t know why.
* In this context, "BETA" refers to a state of brainwave activity—specifically Beta brainwaves, which are associated with alertness, problem-solving, and active thinking. But too much Beta activity, especially over long periods, can lead to:
- Stress
- Overstimulation
- Anxiety and mental fatigue
So when I wrote, “everyone is in BETA,” I am pointing to the idea that people are stuck in a high-alert, overly cognitive, always-on mental mode. This “BETA” state masks deeper feelings of sadness or depression because the mind stays busy—distracted, restless, and disconnected from relaxation or intuition.
In contrast:
- Alpha is a calm, reflective, creative state.
- Theta supports deep meditation and healing.
- Delta is associated with deep sleep and restoration.
Staying in Beta too long creates a loop of chronic tension and prevents the body and mind from entering the slower, more restorative rhythms we need to feel whole.
