You Can't Quit Your Way Out of Food Addiction

To end addictive eating patterns, whether it's overeating or an addiction to certain types of food, primarily processed food, the hard truth is that it's a psychological reconstruction of the mind. And that takes a long time. The work is first to understand how the nervous system works, what the brain does, and how we process anxiety. Learn that first, and then you can scuba dive into the subconscious to study where your patterns formed and why. It's still a lengthy process to uncover the treasures of the subconscious mind. There is very little hope of stopping an addiction simply by stopping a behavior. You have to get to the causation, or you spend your life swapping one addiction for another. It's a far more taxing way to live.
