Naomi's Guide to Excellence

Hey everyone,

Naomi here, and I want to talk to you about being better at work. Let’s dive into what makes me tick and how you can apply some of these principles to your own work life.

I’m an interesting beast, just like all of you. We each have our unique qualities, but this is about what makes me, Naomi, special. Is it my style? Maybe. Could I have been a supermodel but chose to serve in the food and beverage industry instead? Possibly. Am I street-savvy yet refined enough to attend a billionaire’s party? Absolutely. It’s all of these things that make me who I am.

I’m what you’d call a workaholic. I have to keep moving, like a great white shark that must keep swimming to breathe. I’m great at delegating tasks without making anyone feel slighted, aware of my surroundings, supportive of my team, and always make my voice heard when necessary. Engaging with customers comes naturally to me, which is something difficult to teach. Many prefer to stay behind the scenes, but I thrive on interacting with people, remembering their names and details about their lives, and making them feel special.

What makes me cool? It’s a blend of all these traits. I love tarot cards and fortune telling. I love juice and supporting my team. I like to be in control and ensure everything runs smoothly. These qualities are crucial no matter what job you take. Being reliable, accountable, and a great team leader are essential traits for climbing the career ladder.

Now, to be effective, this message has to teach something. We need to reflect on what we’re trying to learn and teach because it leads to better business and a better life. We all come to work to live in society and pay our bills, but we also need to find deeper meaning in our work. Every task we do past the age of 16 is a choice, and seeing it as such can change our perspective.

Why not view work as a series of choices, as opportunities to engage in life fully? This mindset shift can make our lives more exciting and fulfilling. Embrace work like an athlete, focusing on physical energy and mental concentration. Every job can teach us something valuable.

Service to others is another key point. It’s challenging to see when we’re young, but serving others ultimately benefits us too. Whether making a smoothie, cleaning the store, or engaging with customers, these actions are forms of service. They teach us valuable lessons and help us grow.

Understanding that we are all connected and that our actions impact others is crucial. Great leaders, like myself, care deeply about others, almost to a fault. It makes me sensitive and protective of my boundaries. I’m a blend of toughness and vulnerability, making me relatable and inspiring.

Communication is vital. Speak to people with care and attention. If you find yourself not caring, ask why. This self-awareness leads to better interactions and a more fulfilling work life.

Consciousness is amazing. It allows us to think about our motivations, attitudes, and behaviors. It gives us the tools to plan for our future and achieve our goals. Striving to give 125% in every effort, even when unrecognized, is crucial. It’s about playing for the love of the game, not just for recognition.

Breathing techniques can help manage stress and improve focus. Deep, slow breaths through the nose can transform your psychological state, helping you relax and think more clearly. This ancient practice is used by many cultures and is highly effective.

In summary, being a great worker means taking pride in what you do, serving others, and continuously improving yourself. Practice these breathing techniques, stay positive, and be good to people. This is just the beginning of our journey towards higher consciousness and better work life.

Stay awesome,

Naomi
